Report An Issue


Residents use Report an Issue to report issues such as graffiti, potholes, dead animals, malfunctioning traffic signals, and abandoned vehicles. Requests can provide location, description and photographic information regarding the problem.

Help maintain a clean and safe environment by reporting illegal dumping.  If you see someone dumping substances into a storm drain, please immediately contact the Public Works Department at (619) 825-3838. 

Report storm water pollution under "Illegal Dumping."

Examples of substances and materials that are illegal to discharge, wash, or dump into the storm drain system:

  • Home improvement materials such as paint, grout, concrete, drywall mud, or stucco
  • Automobile fluids such as oil, grease, radiator fluid, brake fluid, or antifreeze
  • Wash water, including wash water from mobile car detailers and power washers
  • Pesticides and fertilizers
  • Lawn clippings
  • Irrigation runoff
  • Pet waste
  • Trash and debris

Report an Issue is not to be used for emergency reporting. To report an emergency, dial 9-1-1.

If you need to report a problem without accessing the Report an Issue webform, please call Public Works Dispatch at (619) 825-3816. Report an Issue and Public Works Dispatch are strictly for non-emergency services and any emergency should ONLY be reported to 911.
